Awesome Review by Swervin
I brought my traxxas slash 2wd with me to vegas... I ran it at the 702 indoor track.. No surprise the slash even with A LOT OF UPGRADES handled like crap and loves to summersalt on landings.. I seen the dhk hunter brushed for $xxx at a hobby people store.. I figured for the price for a 4x4 truck it would be worth the experiment! I bought it, took it hm, threw away brushed crap and junk reciver and put in my traxxas brushless setup... This truck rocks! It flys straight, awesome landings, for stock the shocks work extremely well! 4x4 system works excellent and is a very well behaved car! I am slightly worried about availability of spare parts if needed.. But ive been told hobby people stocks all the oem parts. Hope so cause this just became my new favorite r/c ! (Posted on 5/25/14)
Best short Course truck for the money Review by RCLUVER671
My wife got me this truck for my birthday, didn't expect much but to my surprise I was in shock. "THIS TRUCK ROCKS" Build quality is awsome, If other people saw the DHK Hunter SCT for the first time they would think it's an expensive brand. I think if properly equipped this is the sleeper truck that'll shake things up at the track. I can't wait to get my Castle Creations BL motor in this bad boy! (Posted on 5/2/14)
simply the best Review by Chad
bought this last night and beat the crap out of the ramp, jumping off at full speed and mostly landing. lots of scratches, but no breakage. only negative, should have bought the brushless (Posted on 4/17/14)
buy it for a roller Review by A
Bought it 4 days ago, immediately removed electronics and put my vx4 viper combo in (3900kv). With the 18t pinion the thing flies and overall is very tough. Only things to break so far are the servo and I snapped a axle off at the wheel which was strange. Luckily a set of 2 are only 8 bucks

One thing to keep in mind is this truck doesn't have the center diff.. only the bl version does, but that hardly matter with me bashing (Posted on 3/20/14)
great fun Review by Nick
I bought the hunter as a gift for myself at Christmas. Far and away the best truck I have ever owned. I just installed the castle sct bl system and the hunter is ballistic. Great truck. (Posted on 2/25/14)

Fun durable car Review by davmore
This car is built very tough and is fun to drive. A great value - it is really impressive what you get for the money. we replaced the brushed motor with castle brushless and it's very fast. We did have some trouble with the transmitter but hobby people replaced it no questions even though we could not repeat the problem there in the store. No problems since the replacement. Great support, and an impressive little car. (Posted on 1/16/14)
Update Review /Long term bashing update Review by MRM

Another motor fried... Great R & R Review by Kekoa
Took truck to Hobby People... They replaced motor no questions asked... drove it for a few days and motor started to melt again and esc was smoking... quickly turned it of and took it in too HP and they turned it on and it started smoking. This time they replaced both the motor and esc. Ran it this afternoon... So far so good... The motor is running cooler to the touch. It seemed like the esc was the problem from the start overheating the motor. We shall see. Great service from the team in Fountain Valley. (Posted on 12/29/13)
put my truck into a tree at full speed Review by Paul
Very durable truck, only bent a shock piston. Looking at upgrading power to castle when the new SC system arrives. No problem with motor, maybe Ive been lucky. For those that have motor issue, its not a big deal. Its like a flat tire, an inconvenience at worst. RC is great and I hope you all stick with it. Need more of you at Fairview park. There were 15 of us there on Christmas day, slashs, hunters, SC10s and a few no names, and it was awesome. Great time. (Posted on 12/26/13)
motor failed, great service, great truck Review by Ray
Bought truck for gift and motor failed after 2nd charge. Very disappointing. I tried to fix it but it was destroyed. Went to HP this am when they opened and new motor installed, tested, and ready to go. Great service. Bought 2 extra batteries and headed to park with boys. Thanks. 4 stars for motor issue, otherwise 5+ (Posted on 12/26/13)
Kids favorite Review by Randy B.
bought for my 9 year old and he loves it. So many different things to change, didn't realize you had to trim, adjust the throttle and steering, and once we figured it out we were out front most of day. Quad is fanstastic too. (Posted on 12/26/13)
great fun Review by Sue

dissapointed Review by MAD Consumer
I charged up the battery. ran it up and down the street a few times. the battery and the motor got very hot and then it would not run any more. I will be at Hobby People first thing in the morning for a refund. (Posted on 12/25/13)

absolutely love it Review by john

Dissappointed Review by Kekoa
Hope it is not indicative of the quality... Sons Christmas gift. We charged it and took it on its maiden run this morning. He ran it up and down the street a couple of times and it started smoking and would not run. Looks like the motor burned up after about 10 minutes on its first charge... Battery and motor got very very hot...! Sounds like a problem from the other comments here. Can't comment on the rest of the truck... looks great... though we never got a chance to drive it... We'll be first in line tomorrow (Posted on 12/25/13)
motor blown Review by kelt
motor fried after about 15 minutes. I guess I have to buy another motor, but should I put in the same brushless motor or step up to the brushed? Just want it to work for my 7 year old (Posted on 12/25/13)

really impressive truck. My first dhk and its as good as my slash, maybe better as its cheaper and 4x4. (Posted on 11/12/13)
Pretty awesome Review by probasher
I bought the brushed version of this sct and although it lacks the power of the brushless systems, it was still a blast to bash around the yard. The frame is sturdy and rugged taking jumps and bumps with no problem. I still wanted more power; so I dropped a 2650kv mamba set up in it along with fully charged 5000 4s lipo's and took it for a spin in the back yard. I would advise changing out the ceter diff before running a brushed set up because the brushed diff has plastic inards that might not be able to handle the brushed power. In thedirt, the truck is awesome churning up the ground as it moves about, it took 2ft high 5ft long jumps and asked for more. I have even rolled her a few times with no problems at all. Took her to the tarmac on a full charge and while she handled like a cruise ship on wheels, the truck still performed better than I thought that it would. In a straight line from a stop the popped a few wheelies and even had the nose pointed to the sky. All in all you can't really ask for a better frame or performance for the price. This truck is awesome and I would post pics of my park bash but that isn't an option. (Posted on 11/1/13)
