The 1956 Chevrolet® was the middle model in what has become collectively known as the “Tri-Fives”. Slightly dressier than the ground- breaking 1955, the ’56 Chevy® came in three models- the top of the line Bel Air®, the mid-line Two-Ten series and the base One-Fifty. The Del Ray™ was actually part of the Two-Ten series but was given some interior upgrades, including all-vinyl seats with additional foam rubber padding, a lighted glove compartment, two door armrests and carpeting in place of rubber mats. Today the ’56 Del Ray is still a popular model although these days the classic shoebox look is often updated with good looking large diameter wheels wearing low profile rubber. Your Revell version of this best selling kit includes these along with retooled four wheel disc brake rotor and caliper parts. To insure that your finished ’56 will have that “just right” stance we’ve also included new front suspension and rear axle parts.

Part of the mid-priced Two-Ten series, the Chevy Del Ray came factory-equipped with interior refinements found on higher-end models like the Bel Air®. For a base price of $1,971, drivers could enjoy upgrades such as padded vinyl seats, a lighted glove compartment, two door armrests and carpeted floorboards. Kit features a detailed small block Chevy V-8 engine with custom valve covers and an air cleaner, a lowered suspension with 4-wheel disc brakes, black low-profile tires, 20" (508 mm) dia. custom wheels, chrome-plated parts and colorful custom decals.
