Good Battery would buy again. Review by Steve
I use this battery in my Bixler 2, I just got both the Bixler and the Battery. So far the battery has performed just like it is suppose to. I have flown it 6 times, two outings I charge it at 1c between flights and It gives me 15 min flights which is about 50% of the battery left. (Posted on 2/4/16)
good lipo Review by teddyd
These batteries for the cost are very good. As some of the other customers have stated there has been some that swell up after a few uses but over all they seem to be good lipos. The labels on them seem to be what is actually the proper rating. I have bought some lipos on line from China and I think they stick any label on them so the ratings do not seem to match up on some occasions. (Posted on 12/6/15)
Good batteries, but last batch was better. Review by Condor84
Well I started using HP batteries 2 years ago, and the first two lasted well over a year through all sorts of conditions. The one finally gave up, but I still regularly fly the other. I fly just about every day of the year, so they definitely get a work out. Now, of the three I bought earlier this year, all puffed after just a few cycles a piece (I didn't over amp or over discharge. I don't even own an aircraft that will come close), even after a very strict charging regime, and only discharging to 3.3v per cell. It was a super disappointment. I put them away with my gear after charging them one night, and by the next morning, all three had puffed. Not just a little, but dangerously so. All voltages checked out, and no cell was over charged between all three batteries, and every cell was even balanced, however the puffing was extreme. One battery would have been a fluke, but the fact that all three exhibited this at one time although nothing else as far as charging, discharging, or equipment used was changed, to me this indicates a bad batch. DEFINATELY not the great experience I had with the first batch. The first batch had well over 200 cycles before giving up the ghost, and these barely got 20 cycles, and nothing has changed in the time I used the new ones. Not my charger, not my airplanes, and not even my flight times. The conditions were almost identical, yet the newer batch gave up. However, I'm going to buy three more, and hope my experience is as good as my first. I don't have a lot of money to throw at batteries or the hobby in general, so I consider these a great value as long as you don't get a bad batch. I like to make my hobby dollars count, and as long as these hold up, they're just about as good as you can get for the price. The punch is great, the flight times are great, and they even seem to be underrated as far as capacity is concerned. I'll give them 4 stars overall just because of my first experience, however, I'd have to give my most recent purchase 1 star. (Posted on 11/7/15)
Get what you pay for Review by Buddy
Different batches last different lengths of time before ballooning. I had some that lasted six months and others that lasted two months. Last years batch were much better. (Posted on 11/7/15)
Great batteries, most consistent of all I own Review by Daninmich
Have used 5 4s batteries for a year and all performed consistently well. Just purchased 4 3s batteries to replace other brands that are now puffy and also drain down too fast. (Posted on 11/6/15)

20c Review by J
I agree the 20c packs were way more durable. The new ones puff if you get them hot when they're fully charged. For the price they will keep you flying indefinitely if you treat um right. (Posted on 9/14/15)
Some are not so good Review by Steve
Be advised. I have 7 of the earlier 20C versions of this battery that have lasted over two years and are still going strong. I have also bought 8 of these newer 30C batteries of which three have failed after only 4-5 months of use (puffed)! Not a bargain if they won't last. (Posted on 9/6/15)
Good for price, but one thing needs to be changed.... Review by Motor City
These packs are decent performers for the price, but the balance leads need to be changed to silicone wires. The stiff insulation on the balance wires now, caused the wires to bend at their solder points on the battery tabs and the wires break - This is a fail. I have had to disassemble 30% of my HP packs and resolder the balance tabs, then re-tape up with stress relief to help the design.

This is the one problem with these packs.

Hey Hobby People.... this one change can take these from a decent pack to a great pack. Good LiPo companies know this and use silicone wires. Get IN. (Posted on 8/10/15)

Good buy Review by JoeBee
Except for occasional (balancing) wires breaking over a long period of time, these batteries work very well. I have, however, been able to repair these broken wires to prolong the life of the batteries. The fact that the batteries come with the Deans plugs is a real convenience. (Posted on 6/11/15)
Best Bang 4 The Buck! Review by Steven Thomas, VA. Bch, VA
Best Battery for the money anywhere! Out of 35 or so purchased of this item over a 4 year period, I have had only 1 failure with the battery swelling. Many were the 20C, but now they offer the 30C only. Small in size compared to others with the same punch. Hobby People is my go to Battery Store! (Posted on 6/4/15)

Great Batteries Review by Loneflier
I have been using some of the HP 11.1V 2200mAH 20C batteries for over 2 years with many, many cycles on them, and they still perform perfectly. They hold a charge very well, and have never had an issue with performance.

These new ones with 30C perform just as well, with a bit more punch in some of my planes that can really use a higher C rating. For the money, these are really hard to beat. Try a few, you won't be sorry. (Posted on 4/18/15)

Great batteries BUT Review by Rick

I own several of these batteries and they are good. Price is right, connector is right, even the ones I have that puffed up seem to hold a charge and deliver.

Whats' the "BUT?" Well, the ones I own were bought BEFORE HP started charging a hazmat fee. Nobody else charges hazmat for lipos. I will buy more of these from HP after they drop the hazmat fee. (Posted on 5/22/14)

stay away Review by ascalise
Just purchased three of these for a quadcopter. First flights were about 6 minutes. Taken care of properly one week later I am down to 1:30 flights. When fully charged these packs have a HUGE cell gap bettween 1s and the others. When depleted they seem to balance out a little closer. Also, one of the + wires from the balance connector one one battery came out of the plug and will no longer lock in place. I guess you get what you pay for. (Posted on 5/6/14)
Great batteries, marked difference over other brands. Review by Iced51
I use these batteries in multiple 48" 3D planes that put out around 500 watts and these batteries perform fantastically.

These batteries outperform, by a wide margin, other batteries I have in the 20-30C range. Specifically Zippy and Turning cells.

With my on board telemetry I don't get any voltage warnings until the last minute or two of my flights with the HP batteries. With the other packs if I do any high amperage draw maneuvers like a full throttle funnel, even right after take off, I get low battery warnings.

I have 15 of these and will probably get more. (Posted on 4/8/14)

Blade 450 Helicopter Review by dgray
I purchased 2 of these batteries to use in my Blade 450 helicopter, they put the Eflite 2200mA and newer 2100mA batteries to shame. For the price and performance I recommemd to anyone using a 3S battery with up to a 30C requirement. (Posted on 2/2/14)

great packs Review by FlyerMan
I have tried all the brands, from thunder power to hobby king (which are the lowest of the low, just like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get) and the Hobby People packs are the best value. I have 43 packs, and each one has tested better than their spec sheets. (Posted on 10/24/13)
Great Battery Review by The Man
I purchased a couple of these batteries and they have held up well. I take care of them and don't run them down. I have dozens of flights and so far so good. Hold up as well or better than other brands. I will buy more. (Posted on 8/27/13)
Great quality batteries HP batts hold up Review by Kman
I have had very good luck with these batteries. like any lipo you have to take care of them and dont run them down too low. Also dont leave them fully charged sitting around. The HP batteries are priced very good and have awesome reliability. I have 4 of the 30c 2200 mah with 216 cycles of charge on them. The resistance levels have had a very small increase so far. Again though I time my flights and never let the batts drop below 3.65 volts per cell. The climate I fly in ( Phx AZ) can really be tough on lipos. (Posted on 8/27/13)
best battery value Review by Tom
I have 25 of the hp batteries and they are top quality. You can buy cheaper and you can spend much more, but these are the best value I have found. Need more so hopefully you get them in stock again soon. (Posted on 8/19/13)
Great battery! Why so long to restock? Need these batteries before COLD weather sets in. Please notify when available......[email protected] Review by George
George, I am sorry for delay. We sold what we thought was a 3 month supply in less than 3 weeks. More will arrive in 3 weeks. Matt

These batteries are extremely reliable and efficient. Many of my fellow pilots often ask "when will they again be available?" It is often that I ask the same questiion.
My aircraft perform well with the "Hobby People" 2200mah, 3S 30C batteries. I have purchased, in the past, a half dozen or so of the 20C version. They also perform well, however the difference is in the "burst". It is quite noticable when the 30C is being "flown" as offosed to the 20C. I really have no complaints with the 20C version, however given the choice the 30C is preferred. BOTH versions are excellent batteries with long life and terriffic performance.
Awaiting notificatiion of the availability of the 30C version. Please notify when available...........gvb (Posted on 8/12/13)
