Good Sport Packs Review by SoarStar
I now have five of these. I always balance charge them at 1C. They're used on an LT 40, Sig Seniorita float plane, Telemaster 40, and Durafly Smart aerobatic trainer. Motors up .32 Nitro equivalent, amps up to 51. All work well. I use Deans connectors with no problems. They balance within .2 volts and I rarely run them down past 50%. Take care of your packs & they'll take care of you. (Posted on 9/17/16)
When they work, they work well! Review by daninmich
Ordered three - two were fine but one had what seemed like a bad, or at least unbalanced, cell during the first charge. When I saw that the one cell wouldn't keep up with the other three, I ramped the charge rate way down to 0.5 amp, slowly charged it to full capacity, then cycled the battery through slow discharge and charge cycles 2 more times. That third battery now works fine, balances evenly, and performs just as well in flight as the other two. Seems like quality control at time of shipping might leave something to be desired, based on my experience, but other than that, I'm quite pleased with these batteries overall! (Posted on 8/22/14)
Some Good Review by E-Challenged
Have had problems with two 4S 4500 packs that had unbalanced cell when new, would not balance charge using normal balance charge settings on my Quad Play 3620 charger. Have 3 of same 4S packs that charge and perform well. Have 8 3S 2200 packs that charge and perform well. (Posted on 8/18/14)
Great batteries Review by Chris
I fly these batteries in several aircraft I own. I use them in doubled to 8 cells in a medium pattern aircraft. They perform well. I use them in 8 cell in a 60 sized pulse and again they perform well giving my 12-15 minutes of flight. I use them as single packs 4 cell in a .46 sized 80 in ws piper Pawnee and I fly them on a dji flame wheel. In every instance they have performed as well as any other battery I have used. I do not hesitate to tout these batteries at every competition or fly in I go to. (Posted on 7/14/14)
Very nice packs Review by Aj
Just like all of hobby peoples packs, the deans plugs on them and only them that ive had melt. So i just switched to Traxxas plugs. Performance is A+.. it takes a couple runs to wake these up but in my 1/8 scale ofna buggy this pack is great. Got this at first because of the price and after maybe 14 runs i can say I made a great purchase (Posted on 4/30/14)
Awesome Packs Review by Clark
Picked up two packs yesterday from an actual store since they are out of stock online. Jeff, the manager took great care of me. I ran one of the two packs in my 1/8 MBX7 Eco with a 2100kv motor with 14 tooth pinion. I went 15 minutes and still hadn't hit my voltage cutoff set at 3.4v per cell. The batteries were pretty warm but not too hot I couldn't hold them. No puffing either! My SMC 6500 4S packs come off the track around 98F and I temped these at 101F. Since I picked them up from the store, Jeff checked the cell balance for me before I left to ensure all the cells were matched. These are going to be a great light weight packs for indoor 1/8 scale! 50/50 Review by Gravity King
Bought 2. One has a cell that won't charge over 4.9v so I just take the rest there and have a 20v 4 cell battery. (Posted on 2/17/14)
Hit or miss Review by Nelson
I ordered 4 and friends ordered 8. A couple of these have unbalanced cells - two extremely bad. So the missing percentage might be in the 25% range. The IR is great and it easily pushes out 85A for minutes without getting warm. These are 5-star lipos but you may get a lemon. (Posted on 2/11/14)
Quad Copter Batteries Review by dgray
I hooked these bad boys up in parallel to give 20 minutes of flight time on my coaxial quad using (8) 3407 motors from using 10x5 props, perfect application with no battery heat after flight! (Posted on 1/28/14)
Hobby People Li-Pos are great Review by Vertigo2
I use these in a demanding (pattern) application and these batteries hold their own against higher dollar offerings. Excellent value and performance. (Posted on 12/26/13)
great packs Review by FlyerMan
I have tried all the brands, from thunder power to hobby king (which are the lowest of the low, just like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get) and the Hobby People packs are the best value. I have 43 packs, and each one has tested better than their spec sheets. Just bought 4 more of these. (Posted on 10/24/13)
great price, greater quality Review by Jim
