Good for brushed and small brushless motors Review by Pogo

I have a few planes with brushed motors that used to fly with seven cell 8.4V batteries and some left over Speed 400 motors. The HobbyPeople 7.4V 1300 mAh (2S) LiPos seem to do an adequate job of flying these planes and motors. Though they are a little down on power compared to the previously used NiCds and NiMH packs the LoPos make up for it with lighter weight and extra capacity. (You might be tempted to use a (3S) LiPo instead but it will burn up your brushed motor about half way through your first flight).
A lot of small brushless motors use (2S) cells and I have found these batteries to be an ideal size for most of my larger small planes. (Does that sound right)? I'm using a (2S) and larger prop to slow down my small delta until I'm ready to move up to a (3S) and a higher pitched prop.
All my batteries have been reliable so far but my strategy has been to buy a few extras and balance charge all of them at 1C at home. I seldom fast charge at the field.
