Changed my mind Review by Dedstik

To update my earlier post above, I bought a well used Skyraider II at auction and decided to use these servos in it. Skeptical at first, but they have performed flawlessly on about 20 full throttle flights so far. The wings failed on both of my trainers (structural) so I had to get a new one to train students with. Got the Aviator on Ebay and put these servos in it, also a 40 size airplane, and they again have been great. Definitely a great value and would recommend them for application similar to what I've experienced. (Posted on 7/24/14)
Nice servo Review by SportFlyer

Bought 10 of these during a past sale. Test a handful of them on my servo tester, along with several other sport servos...Airtronics 94102, JR ST47, Hitec 311, and Hitec 425BB. All of the servos were pretty much equal in centering, resolution of movement, and speed. Under deflection, the HP-A38N was the weakest in holding torque, but only by a slight margin. The JR ST47 was second to last in this regard, the other servos were equal. The HP-A38N had a tiny bit more of slop in the gear train compared to the others, but not much at all. Due to the slightly less holding torque, I'd recommend these for up to .46 sized aircraft... they'd be totally fine and you probably wouldn't notice any difference between it and the others I tested.
I split one apart too, the gear train quality looked good, with lots of grease too. I have a drawer full of JR's, Airtronics, and Hitecs, and I'd have no reservations in using these in any of my .46 sized planes! (Posted on 8/5/13)
Good servo but. Review by Dedstik

Bought 10 of these and tried to used 5 of them in a 60 size Mustang. They are good servos for the money but they have a lot of slop and you can actually move the post with just your fingers. Be fine for general trainers and sport planes but I didn't trust them in the mustang. Went with the good ol' Airtronics 94102s. (Posted on 4/5/13)

Work well. As good as any economy servo I have and at about half the price. Also bought the 9g servo for my park flyer and they are great too. (Posted on 8/24/11)
