Two-Stroke R/C Aircraft Engine
This is a Magnum XLS .46A-RNV Two-Stroke R/C Aircraft Engine. The XLS .46A-RNV is a single cylinder, two-cycle engine incorporating ABC (Aluminum piston, Chrome plated Brass sleeve) technology for long life, high power output and easy break-in. A dual needle valve carburetor for precise fuel/airflow metering with an optional rear needle valve assembly is standard.

Magnum XLS Series are true ABC engines with true hard chrome plated (not nickel) brass cylinder sleeves for longest service life. Front rotor Schneurle porting optimizes power and efficiency of the two-stroke design, and aerospace quality steel ball bearings reduce friction to maximize RPM and power.

*Requires glow plug, fuel, propeller and support equipment. We recommend using 10% ~ 20% Nitro Methane Fuel with 18% ~ 20% Castor Oil/Synthetic Oil Blend Lubricant. We recommend using a hot heat-range glow plug designed for high-performance 2-stroke engines, such as Thunderbolt #3. Propeller size will vary based on many factors. We recommend a 10 x 6 propeller for break-in.

From what I can tell it is using about 1/2 ounce of fuel per minute. I had my timer set for 8 minutes and still had plenty of fuel left in an 8oz. tank.
All I can say is I am very happy I bought this engine, can't wait to take it out again.

A Jett Muffler is effectively a tuned pipe. This addition greatly increased the engine power out ,improved overall engine performance.
This engine is fitted to a Great Planes Escapade. This engine muffler combination is now effectively over powering the aircraft. Try it you will enjoy it.
