A good small servo to standardize on Review by Pogo
Rating
I have a slug of these and almost all of them still work. I can only remember one dud straight out of the box. They can be stripped if you crash just right, (a .062 pushrod had enough momentum to do it). These are reasonably priced even when not on sale but when they are on sale, buy some even if you don't need them. Eventually you will. (Posted on 6/22/14)
Problem with consistent return of potentiometer Review by Ken
Rating
Is this just the batch I received or is this common with the HS-55? I not only have difficulty with consistent return to center position, the potentiometer returns the servo arm to a slightly different position after each activation. Are there any low priced analog servos with quality electro/mechanical response? (Posted on 11/13/13)
good servo for the price Review by Raider

I use these servos on the Phase 3 Squall, F-16 and other home built profile jets. These servos seem very solid for their size and they center very well. I have stripped similar micro servos from different brands but these have proven to be very reliable. (Posted on 12/3/12)
better than most Review by bnrusso

The main difference between the hs-55 and the many direct Chinese cheaper similar servos is linearity and full swing limits. I find these servos move their limits fully and evenly which makes setting control surface adjustments easier. Our newer radios allow limit adjustments but you can't get much more throw from a cheaper servo because of its internal POTENTIOMETER /variable resistor. I buy and use both but in my opinion an HS-55 is better. (Posted on 11/9/11)
