5 stars Review by drew
Rating this is a great truck, i have had mine for almost two years and 2 gallons through the original motor and is still running strong. great power + torque for a small block. the only thing I could ever ask for is a little bit longer run time, but Im sure you could find a bigger tank that would fit, or maybe you could stretch out the stocker. If you really want to see yours fly remove the ez start and save like 6 ounces over with it installed. it makes the truck corner better and is a little bit more controllable when jumping. my story Review by mechanic
Rating a friend of mine owns this car he was so close to sending it back because he could not get it started. when he told me he needed help getting it broken in all i did was lean it out to where it stays on and wala it was workin. but when fully broken in i took it up and down the street full speed and said wow i havent seen such smallblock power since my driving of the xtm x-cell they did similar speeds of 50mph. but anyway it was fast enough to beat a slash vxl and flip in the end. it has power just needs a wing now (Posted on 3/7/11)

great car for messing around and blazing around the track Review by Patrick
Rating Overall, you can´t beat this truck for the value, everything was really smoothe, if you just watch the starting video the break-in is easy, one that was done, my friend and i raced his slayer against my rusty, and my rusty won by a mile. The only thing that I don´t like about this car is that the car likes to torque steer on the straights and you kind of have to drift around the turns. the nice thing about this truck is, It has plenty of power, but it isn´t a wheelie monster, so, unlike the vxl version of this truck, you can actually touch the throttle. the only upgrades you need to race this truck are, proline holeshot´s, carbon fiber front and rear shock towers, and rpm A arms and castor blocks. and if you would like to beat the competition, uninstall the EZ-start, and install the traxxas pull start. that is my setup and i race the stock 1 10th nitro class at hot rod hobbies and usually place well. overall this is an awesome truck (Posted on 8/31/10)

better than the jato Review by Noah
Rating I have owned a few gas powered cars in the past, like the Jato but nothing compares to the nitro Rustler. This car is amazing and at a top speed of 50 mph and more this car is better than anything else out there for the price. It goes so fast on street and on dirt its amazing how high it goes when it goes off a jump. This car is so strong i have been jumping it and everything and nothing has even broken yet. This truck rules! Review by David
Rating I am definitely new when it comes to the Nitro class. I have owned a few r/c cars in the past but never a nitro powered monster. Out of the box this thing is screaming at you. The enclosed DVD was extremely helpful and the simple setup instructions where right to the point and easy to understand. After completing the “break in” process the truck woke up and exploded to blistering speeds. A good friend of mine purchased the same truck a day before mine. Let me tell you, the only thing that’s more fun then a Rustler is two Rustlers’. The only bad thing I can say about this truck is the handling. I have to tweak a lot with the position and angle of the front shocks in order for the wheels to bite. Other then that this truck is rock solid – only had the truck for two weeks so I don’t have much to go on regarding the reliability. But it’s difficult to take the smile off my face when controlling it through sand and dirt. (be sure to watch for flying rocks and debris being kicked from the rear wheels). (Posted on 8/30/10)

sweet Review by Caid
Rating the nitro rustler i own is like the granddad (12 Y/O) of this one but its the same in most ways so here it goes.
this car is a very strongly built car. i like the fact that you can flip it over and over and not break shock towers, lose reception and crash into curbs at WOT and not break arms, and take hard falls off of a 3 story roof and not bend the frame. (not that you should do that stuff anyway!!!) this is the basher 1 minute and on the track the next whoopin peoples butts. the suspension is very nice and has a well centered setup for general purposes. unscrew one screw reposition the shock, repeat 4X and youve gone from jumping onto the roof to heats on the track. i recommend getting some beefier tires though. the stock ones will do good for a little until you want to race or something. then its not enough. then you lose traction and spin out. other than that i give this ole girl 5/5.
