One of my favorite micros so far but... Review by JeffieTheCobb

I really liked flying this plane... after I crashed it a few times, broke then wing struts then eventually damaged the speed controller somehow. Some glue and a $5 replacement speed controller and I was flying again.

I've also the Hobbico Micro Super Cub I bought about 4 months ago and still fly it even though I've crashed it more times than I can remember.

If you're patient and determined you'll always get these planes back into the air after a crash.

The Albatros is probably my favorite to fly so far. If you've a light head wind you can cut the throttle, go full up on the elevator and fly it like a kite. Personally I think it handles better than the Super Cub.

Guys - if you want something that looks goo on a shelf then buy it. If you want something that actually works like a hobby RC plane forget it. I am on my 3rd motor controller and still do not have it working right. The R&D dept need to go back to the design on this one. (Posted on 11/25/11)
Poor choice. Looks good, but thats it. Review by Bomber Bill

Purchased because it looked good for a micro and was an interesting WWI pick. Very fragile compared with E flite and ParkZone. Radio malfunctioned right out of the box. Range checked but went to down elevator and left turn repeatedly after the model got about 20 feet away, followed by nose in crashes (uless kept within 15feet +or- of the pilot). Flyzone was was completely, and repeatedly unresponsive by phone or Email. No more Flyzone for me. E-flite and ParkZone know how to do it right and value their customers. (Posted on 11/10/11)
Current example very good Review by Gentle B

Second Albo I owned. Much better Q/C on the plane. Radio is cheap toy grade. Will be changing board to Spektrum in order to use computer radio (Dx-6i). (Posted on 9/4/11)
Save your money Flimsy Review by Jim

When I opened the box and saw the plane my first thought was "uh-oh". The construction and materiel were very flimsy. My concerns were justified. Being a beginner with RC my first attempted landing was imperfect. The right wing hit first in thick grass and completely sheared off. I understand that being a beginner that crashes were inevitable, but for a wing to shear off from an impact into thick grass from about chest high is unacceptable.
Fortunately the staff at Hobby People Fountain Valley refunded the full purchase price with out hassle. I will use this money toward the purchase of a higher quality product. (Posted on 4/18/11)
fun plane Review by travis

flys well and plenty of power. Hand launch it flys right of your hand. Has survived many of my hard landings. All of my landings were hard on grass. My brother was able to fly it first try, he hasn't flown in 30 years. I did have to reglue the landing gear, cabane struts and spinner with foamsafe CA. Still looks good and flys good. The flight duration on the tiny battery is amazing. I will buy another one when this one is all used up. One of my better entertainment investments, try it you'll like it. (Posted on 4/13/11)
Flys great but too delicate Review by larryjm

I bought this plane to fly in a small park. I was surprised at the power and response and it tracks very well.

The downside is I broke a couple of props landing in the grass and had to special order their replacements. On top of that the props were an absolute pain to change. The shaft on the motor is the thickness of a skinny paper clip and you have to pry off the old prop and sqeeze on the new one without breaking it. Also the wing is very flimsy.

For $79 there has to be something less flimsy and more robust. Because of this, I can't recommend it. (Posted on 2/2/11)
Great Flyer Review by Tony

This is a great flying micro. It is stable in calm wind conditions and responds to the 2.4Ghz Tx flawlessly. Came with everything I need including the box which protects the plane and transmitter during transport.

I flew at an empty baseball field and took off first time from the infield and did some touch-in-goes, then a couple of loops. This little plane is a blast to fly.

Oh... one more thing, if you do fly at a park make sure there are no dogs around. Had one chase my plane for awhile. Good thing I was able to keep the plane airborne and in control until "fido" quit. (Posted on 1/21/11)
