Not so good Review by Dick

Will not fly as it comes. Needs to be the brushless version. Add 11 volt battery now it will fly somewhat but is still under powered. Great radio and receiver. (Posted on 5/27/14)
Can't get in the air Review by Runner55

Have tried four times to launch this plane. I bought it for my grandson and so far he hasn't had the chance to fly it, grandpa can't get it off the ground. Seems to be nose heavy, dives in every time. Have moved the battery back, full power to half power with no success. Nose has been glued and taped to death.
Took it back and was told the servo was the problem, they replaced and still not luck. (Posted on 5/4/14)
Decent trainer Review by Parent

The plane is pretty good and very forgiving. My son was able to fly it first time out without much in the way of damage. One harder than desired landing tore a chunk of foam from the nose. It should be easy to repair, but I suggest adding tape or something to the nose to reduce damage to the soft foam.

The plane was easy to set up. The manual for the model was complete, lacking only transmitter information (see below). I felt that the center of gravity was a bit nose heavy, even with its 900mAh, 8.4v Ni-MH battery as far back in its mounting slot as possible. I suppose this helps the plane be as stable as it is.

There is NO documentation for the MeritRc MT-600 4ch 2.4GHz transmitter in the package, on the Hobby People website, or anywhere on the Internet. I would like to know how to bind the transmitter (for future use that is, it comes already bound to the receiver mounted in the plane) and how to put the transmitter into low power mode for a proper range check. I feel this to be important information and should really take another star off the rating because of it. I won't though, since I expect to be able to find the information somewhere.

If you are looking for an easy to fly, easy to assemble plane, this fits the bill. I would like better documentation on the transmitter, brushless rather than brushed motor/ESC, and LiPo rather than Ni-MH battery but perhaps they can't provide these items at this price point.

This is my third plane, but the first that I have been able to fly. Mark in Lake Forest gave me lessons and I have soloed and been flying every week. Always wanted to learn to fly and this plane helped me be successful. Thanks Mark and Hobby People. What should I fly next? (Posted on 6/27/13)
Battery? Review by Boulder Bill

Great plane for beginners. Nowhere in the description does it tell us what battery it uses. If you wish to buy backups for multiple flights what size and strength battery do you purchase. Nose needs plastic shell reinforcement (or coat with epoxy) (Posted on 3/1/13)
Super fly Review by superfly

Great plane to learn to fly. The kit is a 3 channel kit but comes with a 4 channel remote. Unit can accept ailerons if you want to add them later. Everything you need to fly except AA batteries. The plane is made of durable EPO foam and is easy to assemble. The tail piece uses 3m double sided tape but I used hot glue to reinforce those areas. I recommend using clear tape on the nose and tips of the wings. Unit flys pretty easy but it is a little heavy in the front to be a true glider. If you let of the throttle to much it wants to dive since the battery is in the front. Over all very great plane and gets back up after a crash. (Posted on 2/23/13)
