HP-MDL The Real Thing EP ARF 40th Anniversary EditionProduct Review (submitted on January 25, 2013):
Scratch built one from RCM plans in 1976. Flew it for 4 seasons before giving it to a newcomer in our club. After seeing the availability of the ARF, I just had to have one again. Great design. Complete hardware package. I am flying it with a LA 15, two stroke. With this setup, I can fly in winds of up to 25 mph. Although I normally do not fly under these conditions, the plane will handle it. Having built, from plans or kits, over 250 airplanes and sailplanes, the Real Thing ARF is a nice departure from building a plane from scratch. Of all of the planes that I have built and flown, this is only my sixth ARF, four or which i purchased from Hobby People.
